To begin with, in July 2026, I conducted and circulated the BestFit Questionnaire among approximately 30-50 students across Mumbai and Delhi/NCR to understand their existing nutrition, physical activity, and attitudes toward health and holistic wellbeing. The survey examined daily eating patterns, breakfast and fruit/vegetable consumption, awareness and frequency of protein-rich foods, physical activity levels, experiences of fatigue during exercise, and familiarity with basic strength exercises.
It also explored students’ interest in practical areas such as low-cost healthy meals, strength-building, easy exercises, and sports training. The responses helped identify gaps in nutritional awareness, particularly around protein intake and balanced eating, alongside differences in students’ exercise habits and understanding of fitness.
These findings provided a baseline for the project and directly informed the subsequent focus on accessible nutrition education, fitness activities, and holistic wellbeing.
